What Style Bag Suits You

We agree that we don't leave the house without our handbags. And because of this, our bag plays a big role when it comes to feeling good about your look – this simple add-on to your outfit may be an afterthought but can help shape your entire look.
Some of you have one handbag that you never change or carry for seasons year-after-year until you get tired of it, and some rotate their handbags depending on the occasion. Having a minimum of two neutral bags in different styles is a great place to start.
Your handbag has the power to help dress up or dress down your look. So, for those days you feel too dressed up, your handbag could fix this, or those days you feel too laid-back, a dressier style bag would be an option to change that. So, it's nice to give your wardrobe a couple of options.
With the different styled bags, it may not be that easy to pinpoint which styles not only make it easier to complete your look but all suit your style best. Below I'm breaking it down for you.

A satchel bag provides a more polished touch to your outfit. It typically comes with a top handle, sometimes an attached shoulder strap, and is usually carried around your wrist. While they range in size, satchels are somewhat spacious. If you tend to have many items in your bags and prefer a more structured feeling to organize your belongings efficiently, a satchel would be a good match for your needs.

Crossbody bags are the ideal throw-on-and-go back; with the long shoulder strap, you have the option to style across your body or wear over your shoulder. If you're looking for a relaxed style and hands-free, this style will suit you.

If you like to skip carrying a handbag altogether, a wristlet gives you an option to carry only your essentials – a small pouch with a strap around your wrist. This style is perfect for minimalists – easy access, and you get to avoid having to shuffle through everything when you're trying to find that one item.

Backpacks add an unexpected edgy touch to your look. This style doesn't need to make you feel like you're heading back to school. There are so many different style options, from a casual-style backpack to throw on with your leggings to a dressier style you can wear every day. They can feel age-appropriate and just as chic.

Similar to crossbody bags instead, this style typically lends you more room. Tote bags add a relaxed and laid-back touch to your look. If you tend to carry around a lot of stuff, or like to be prepared; for example, carrying a compact umbrella in case it rains or a more comfortable pair of shoes just in case. This style bag gives you the option to have a lot just in case. You can also view backpacks the same way, but the difference would be with tote bags, it's instant access, and with backpacks, you have to take it off to access what's inside.

Like I mentioned, start with at least two different style bags and two different neutral colors – a dark and light option. Options are your wardrobe's best friend and make getting dressed that much easier when you focus on building up your neutral pieces that you can easily pair with everything.
